Forensic Paternity At Maxxam we provide testing for cases in which, for some reason, one of the individuals involved in a Paternity case is not available for testing. For example an individual may be deceased or their location may not be known. In these types of cases, Maxxam may perform a Paternity DNA test using other, less common, types of samples. For example, we have been able to collect DNA from items such as Band-Aids, soothers, hair, blood, Kleenex or any other items that contain the human biological material, which contains DNA. Maternity DNA Testing Individuals may require a maternity test for various reasons such as to prove or disprove biological maternity. Maxxam offers clients very conclusive results with respect to maternity testing. In cases where an individual is considered to be the biological mother, the statistical probability will typically be > 99.95%. DNA Twin Testing The results for DNA Twin testing at Maxxam are extremely accurate. Maxxam will provide clients with information identifying a specific set of twins as either fraternal or identical. Sibship DNA Analysis Maxxam provides extensive DNA analysis to help an individual determine whether they have a full sibling, half sibling or if there is no relation at all to another specific person. There are a number of factors that will influence the outcome and the accuracy of a Sibship test. Unlike a Paternity test, which provides very conclusive results, there are limitations to Sibship testing. More accurate results are possible if the mother's and/or father’s DNA is available for testing as well.
