DNA SAMPLE COLLECTION LOCATIONS / MOBILE SAMPLE COLLECTION
Clients within Canada
Clients requiring legally admissible/court accepted results from either a paternity, maternity or relatedness DNA test will need to attend one of Maxxam’s certified collection facilities to have their specimens (buccal/cheek swab) collected and identity documented by an objective third party.
DNA sample collection costs for all clients residing within Canada, are included within the all–inclusive cost for a legally documented paternity test (includes maternity or relatedness quoted costs). With over 400 collection sites from coast to coast, you should have no problem finding a location to provide a sample. A list of current areas serviced* is presented below. Maxxam also provides a mobile sample collection service in several locations throughout Canada at no additional cost. Our mobile collectors will contact the client directly to schedule a date and time to attend at the client's home, office or other location they suggest for collection of the required sample. Clients outside Canada (Paternity Testing, Maternity Testing, Relatedness Testing)
In many instances not all clients undergoing a DNA test will reside in Canada and one or more samples will need to be collected outside of Canada.
United States - For clients residing within the United States, Maxxam has formed networks with national specimen collection providers, that have facilities in all major U.S. cities. Specimen collection fees are payable at the time of DNA sample collection (direct to provider).
International – Clients (non-immigration) who reside outside of Canada or the United States that require specimen collection(s) should make arrangements to have their Medical Practitioner collect the DNA sample(s). Maxxam will send the required DNA sample collection kit, chain-of-custody documents and detailed directions directly to the Medical Practitioner. Upon collection of required specimens, the Medical Practitioner will courier the specimen(s) and completed documents directly to Maxxam’s DNA testing laboratory, located in Guelph, Ontario, CANADA.
DNA Immigration Testing Sample Collection – Clients undergoing paternity testing, maternity testing or other DNA relatedness tests as required by either Citizenship and Immigration Canada, Embassy of Canada, Canadian High Commission or a Canadian Consulate office, will have their DNA sample collections arranged for by the Visa Officer assigned to their Family Class Sponsorship file.
