Sampling Procedures
When it comes to reliability and confidence that your samples will be secure, Maxxam is second to none. You can be assured that our sampling methods are the most advanced in the industry. We use the most secure methods to safety-proof samples from tampering or contamination.
Sample Collection
At Maxxam, the method of sample collection is simple and painless. We set up an appointment with you to collect what is known as a buccal swab sample. A swab is simply rubbed inside an individual’s cheek to collect the cell materials that contain DNA.
We have the largest network of collection sites across Canada. We can also work with you to arrange overseas sample collection.
Processing Time
Once all DNA samples for a specific case are received at the Maxxam DNA Laboratory, the DNA testing takes approximately seven to ten business days to complete. It should be noted that the Citizenship and Immigration Canada requirements or foreign Embassy procedures may delay certain DNA tests and this timeline can vary from sample to sample.
