What We Test

Maxxam utilizes forensic biology screening and DNA techniques that are validated and accepted by both the scientific and legal communities. We are able to undertake testing on samples from a wide range of sources. The following is a list of sample types that Maxxam routinely tests:

Blood

  • stains on absorbent and nonabsorbent surfaces
  • pin-head sized stains
  • washed stains
  • weapons

Semen

  • garment stains, including washed stains
  • sexual assault kit items collected at hospital
  • feminine hygiene products
  • vasectomized males
  • inside of used condoms

Saliva

  • balaclavas
  • cigarette butts
  • envelope stamps and flaps

  • chewed gum
  • bite marks (on skin and foodstuffs)

Nasal Secretions
