Our Customers

Maxxam routinely works with many Canadian law enforcement agencies helping resolve cases of homicide, sexual assault, assault, break and enter/robbery, and motor vehicle accidents and theft. We work with Canadian businesses to assist in cases of product tampering and harassment. Maxxam also extends it services to private individuals concerned with issues like estate settlements and threatening mail. For all customers, Maxxam quickly provides accurate answers while maintaining confidentiality.
What We Test
Maxxam uses state-of-the-art DNA techniques to test samples from a wide variety of sample types including blood, semen, saliva and other biological materials. Maxxam’s methods are validated and accepted by both the scientific and legal communities.
Accreditations and Expertise
Each of Maxxam’s team of forensic scientists has years of valuable experience and significant expertise in their field. Our scientists are often called as expert witnesses in court cases and are active in the development of industry publications and literature.
Maxxam has pursued voluntary accreditation to ensure customer confidence in our results. Maxxam is accredited by two separate accreditation bodies: The Standards Council of Canada (SCC) which is based on ISO17025, and the Forensic Quality Services - International (FQS-I) for compliance to the national Quality Assurance Standards (QAS) for DNA Analysis issued by the Director of the FBI.
Confidentiality
No matter which client we are working with, we recognize and respect the need for discretion during all phases of the investigation. At Maxxam, we have implemented many safeguards to protect our data and to secure your privacy. Our DNA department staff members have government issued security clearance and we have voluntarily enacted policies and procedures based on the Privacy Act. Likewise, our premises are inspected and monitored for security and safety.
